SUPERCELL MARIA
Supercell is planning to build new headquarters in Helsinki to continue their future game development efforts from Finland. As the company grows, we aim to build a space that is modern, offers flexibility, and supports our game teams’ work, both independent and co-operative. Furthermore, the project would increase the amount of green space in the city and offer services to the surrounding community.

The building’s planned location is south of Marian sairaala, between Mechelininkatu and Baana. It will be part of an evolving campus with a startup community and enjoy the benefits of close proximity to the city center, as well as great connections for commuting by foot or by bike.

We are working closely with the city of Helsinki to plan and realize the project. We will also hear the area residents over the course of the planning stage.
Supercell is working together with Maria 01 and the startup community to strengthen the area’s sense of community and build services for the residents and businesses in the area.

The site has been reserved until the end of 2027. We are aiming to have the new headquarters operational by 2030, approximately. The city of Helsinki is involved in the planning effort.

Our aim is to plan a building with a long life cycle and a small carbon footprint. The energy efficiency of the building will be improved by choosing as many renewable energy solutions as possible, favoring solutions that support circular economy and installing grass roofs.
We aim for a high international standard of environmental rating (LEED Platinum / BREEAM Outstanding).
